Pirate Gnome Tote Bag
This fun, quirky tote bag is made from pale blue-grey fabric with an appliqué and hand-stitched bead design
depicting a pirate and his treasure chest. The pirate is based on a
Scandi gnome-style character. He has a luxuriant beard of russet velvet,
with his large nose of peach felt peeping through. He’s wearing a blue
and white striped shirt, golden yellow waistcoat, beige trousers and a
belt of brown felt with a gold-stitched buckle. He has fancy grey boots
and his outfit is topped off with a red bandana with white polka dots.
His treasure chest is brown velvet with a red velvet-lined lid. The
inside is made from gold lamé to represent treasure and I’ve added lots
of metallic seed beads in shades of gold and silver (a few extra have
spilled onto the floor in front of the chest!). A tattered Jolly Roger
flag is flying overhead, made from black velvet with a cream velvet
skull and crossbones. The bag is lined with red fabric with large white
polka dots.
This is a fun and quirky tote bag. With its whimsical design it would
make a lovely fun gift, particularly for anyone who loves pirates.
The approximate measurements of the tote bag are:
14 inches (36cm) high x 12.5 inches (32cm) wide x 3 inches (8cm)
across the base. The handles are of a length that can be worn on the
shoulder or hand-carried.
