The birth of my business begins with the birth of my son. In preparation for his birth, I listened to podcasts, watched Youtube videos, and read scientific papers about birth so that I would feel better prepared. I began to develop a sense of the birth I wanted and took steps to achieve this. I was attracted to the idea of affirmations and visualisations to help with labour so I decided to create my own.

On the day of his birth, we hung the birth affirmations on fairy lights in the dimly lit birthing suite. The images and words were there as a constant reminder to me and my support people used the cards as prompts to provide words of encouragement. During my birth, midwives and doctors with other patients visited my room to check out the display we had created. They all commented on the affirming and calm atmosphere.

Birth was hard, but it was also incredible. I wish all women could have this experience and I hope that my products provide just a little help along the way!
