Every kitchen deserves some elegance. This kitchen set is made up of one oven glove and a pot holder using the elegant and premium quality Shining Star fabric.

This fabric is woven by an Armenian in Alexandria, Egypt and sewn in Vardenis, Armenia. It’s called shining star because woven into the fabric are fine, delicate, metallic threads. The design is reminiscent of handwoven rugs, which has a rich history and tradition in the Armenian culture.

HDIF partners with Vardenis Sewing, a community hub in Vardenis, Armenia launched by Lena and her husband Armen. Locals can buy all household linens and custom-made garments from Vardenis Sewing,  plus local women are employed to produce a wide range of homewares, providing vital employment in their local community, helping stem emigration.
