Miss Spartan Straws

  • Caring for your straws:
  • Immediately after use, place your straw into a glass of water and rinse the inside of the straw to loosen and release any leftover smoothie that might have stuck to the inside.
  • You can hold the straw up to a light source to check that it is free from obstruction.
  • Next, use your cleaning brush to gently brush the inside of the straw.
  • Use warm water and a drop of dishwashing detergent.
  • At all times, be mindful that metal conducts heat so extremely hot water will heat up the straw – so use warm water only.
  • Once you have rinsed the inside of the straw, you can safely pop the straw on a drying rack ready for re-use.
  • If you use a dishwasher, be mindful of tiny bits of debris becoming lodged inside during the wash cycle – things like a grain of rice, or a speck of food waste. It’s advised to always rinse the straw inside upon completion of your wash cycle to release these little bits.
  • By following these simple care guidelines for your stainless steel straw, you will happily be using your metal straw for years to come.  Each time you re-use your straw you prevent another instance of plastic pollution.
